George K. Moss Co., Inc. is a supplier of solid fuel boiler and combustion systems that burn green energy fuels to reduce greenhouse gases and global warming. Moss reciprocating, inclined and horizontal grate gasifiers and our fluidized bed combustion systems are capable of meeting the most stringent U.S. air emission regulations by implementing many different technologies to provide the required results. Moss provides five (5) different boiler system designs including watertube (high pressure - superheated boiler systems), hybrid, HRSG (Heat Recovery Steam Generator), firetube and firebox to meet any customer application. Our solid fuel gasifier and fluidized bed combustion systems are capable of gasifying wood, biomass (shelled corn, wheat, corn stover, peanut, oat, coconut and rice hulls, pecan shells, sugarcane bagasse), coal, tire derived fuel (TDF) and municipal solid waste (MSW). By using renewable biomass fuels such as wood or agricultural waste, customers can dramatically reduce their carbon footprint. Our multiple boiler and combustion systems allows our designers to review the application and ensure our customers the correct system will be provided for their application. Because of the Renewable Portfolio Standards that are adopted by many states, Renewable Energy Certificates (REC) and carbon credits, Moss is becoming more heavily involved with co-generation systems (combined heat and power - CHP) ranging from 250 KW single-stage machines to 30 MW multi-stage co-generation condensing or extraction systems. Moss gasification and fluid bed systems can be equipped with thermal oxidizers (retention chambers) that thermally converts volatile organic compounds (VOC) contained in dryer exhaust into carbon dioxide and water (primarily for the ethanol industry). Moss Energy is a division within Moss that provides engineering / procurement / construction (EPC) projects specializing in solid fuel boiler / combustion / cogeneration systems.

Moss has been in the steam related and combustion industry since 1958 and the hospital medical waste business since 1982. Our hospital medical waste equipment consists of medical waste autoclaves, medical waste shredders and all related accessory equipment, including compactors, conveyors and installation, in order to provide our hospital customers with complete turnkey facility capabilities. Because of regulation changes, we have recently added a confidential document paper shredding system to our product offerings in order to provide a centralized onsite shredding facility for hospitals in the United States.

At Moss, we are constantly reviewing new products and technologies to meet future customer requirements. Our mission is to increase the profitability of our customers by delivering reliable, cost-competitive, clean energy solutions that maximize savings. Energy recovery technology is not new to our company but because of the current cost of fuel and our dependence upon foreign fuels, Moss is now providing new energy recovery products and services to save our customers thousands to millions of dollars a year in fuel and electrical costs. We appreciate and welcome the opportunity to solve your steam, combustion, energy, medical waste or shredding problems.
